Team Jorvik’s Development Squad focuses on refining existing skills such as racing starts, turns and finishes.
There is a strong technical focus to build a foundation for successful competing. We prepare swimmers for the Competitive Squad, introducing some speed and distance, as well as ensuring a fun and supportive team environment where everyone feels included and challenged.
Swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 3 sessions per week out of the 5 available to them.
Our Development Squad represents Team Jorvik at our annual Jorvik Galas, and competes at various other Galas throughout the year.
From Development Squad, swimmers can progress into either Club Squad or Competitive Squad, depending on their preference to swim for fun and fitness or to swim competitively.
SQUAD FEES.
Squad fees are charged per month, with one month’s notice required for any swimmers wishing to leave the club. Payments are taken via GoCardless.
All members are affiliated to Swim England, Swim England North East and Yorkshire Swimming Association. These fees cover insurance for the swimmers whilst training with the Club and competing in galas. The fees are set by these organisations each year and are subject to change. Members joining part way through the year will still have to pay the full fee. The Swim England payment is taken via GoCardless annually and the fee information can be found via the button below.
