Our Competitive Squad focuses on building fitness and improving technique, including starts, turns and finishes, to allow swimmers to continually support and improve their competitive capability.
On top of coaching our swimmers to set goals and make personal progress, our experienced coaches also focus on teaching the traits of being a good athlete, the importance of encouraging other group members, being part of a team, demonstrating commitment and always giving 100% effort.
Our Competitive Squad swimmers aspire to achieve county qualifying times and beyond. It is expected that our Competitive Squad swimmers compete in all opportunities which their coach recommends them for, and that they attend at least 4 of the 5 training sessions available to them each week.
SQUAD FEES.
Squad fees are charged per month, with one month’s notice required for any swimmers wishing to leave the club. Payments are taken via GoCardless.
All members are affiliated to Swim England, Swim England North East and Yorkshire Swimming Association. These fees cover insurance for the swimmers whilst training with the Club and competing in galas. The fees are set by these organisations each year and are subject to change. Members joining part way through the year will still have to pay the full fee. The Swim England payment is taken via GoCardless annually and the fee information can be found via the button below.
